A November giveaway

Photobucket

I do believe I promised another giveaway. So, here it is. Two sweet craft books - Pretty Little Potholders and Pretty Little Cosies. Plus some assorted fabric in some of my favourite patterns and colours to make one of these patchwork delights, and a handful on buttons to embellish.

If you're not in any way crafty inclined, this would make a lovely gift for a friend or family member who is.

All you need to do is leave a comment. If you also want to follow me, join my pinterest, like me on facebook, retweet the giveaway, pay my bills and do my ironing, I'd be thrilled as well. But the comment is the only prerequisite, otherwise how will I know you've entered?!

This package is all wrapped up and ready to post before I head off overseas...and because I'm heading over to the USA, I'm going to let this is open to anyone in either Australia OR the USA (providing I can figure out the postal system!).

Entries close next Thursday, November 10th. 5pm Brisbane time.

If you have stopped by, it would be lovely if you could leave a comment or just say hello so I know that you've been here. Thank you!

And the winner is...

Commenter number 3, SALLY.

Sally, if you could please send me an email, I'll get your bag of goodies in the mail!

I'm not sure when I'll be back blogging, but it will be sometime next week.  We collected the keys to our new house yesterday afternoon, so today Mum and I will be over there cleaning cupboards and washing walls, as they aren't quite as clean as I would have expected (we spent 3 days scrubbing every inch of our house when we moved out).  Let's not even mention the state of the oven, or the fact that they didn't clean up the dog poo!   Luckily we have organised end of tenancy professional cleaners to sort out this rental next week.
Saturday is move in day, and we are excited to get into this house and start our new life of verandahs, decorating and entertaining!
I look forward to sharing our journey with you all.

And if anyone wants to drop over cake and coffee while we clean...

If you have stopped by, it would be lovely if you could leave a comment or just say hello so I know that you've been here. Thank you!

{Giveaway} Haby Goodness!

If you've been reading this blog for the past month, you would be aware that we are moving next week. To HERE. Right now, I'm trying to pack, and sew at the same time. Making more mess than I tidy.

As I go, I keep finding bits and pieces that probably need a new home. That new home could be yours. This is going to be Giveaway Number One. The next will be once we move and I unpack the storage container.

All you need to do is leave a comment below to be in the random draw for a bunch of haby goodies. The picture is just a sample of what you'll get, I will be adding to the pile as I go!

That sweet little toadstool is a pincushion, I bought it specifically for a blog giveaway from my lovely friend Rachel at Bauble. You'll hear more about Bauble soon as I'm off to check out her new arrivals and take some photos next week.

So, again - leave a comment, telling me what you would really like added to the pile of haberdashery...and if you happen to be the random winner, maybe I'll oblige!  Random winner will be drawn next Thursday evening.

If you have stopped by, it would be lovely if you could leave a comment or just say hello so I know that you've been here. Thank you!

The promised giveaway...

Ah...yes. I did promise this giveaway quite a while ago. However, things have been rather hectric around here so it dropped off the radar.

This is a selection of some of our new products featuring Liberty of London fabric, some which aren't even available yet, (although you can check out our Retailers who do have similar in stock!)

You will receive a brooch, a hairpin, two fridge magnets and a sweet linen bag.

All you need to do is leave a comment!

Because I'm going away next week, the winner will be drawn on Tuesday night and will have to get their details to me by Wednesday lunchtime so the package can be mailed before I leave.

ETA - I knew there was something missing! I forgot about the bookmark! The winner can take their pick from the new bookmarks I have just listed over at All You Need.

What's in a name?

This afternoon I ran a little competition on Facebook to name some new Liberty print hairclips. The idea was to list your child's name and their favourite colour, and I would randomly draw names to go with each clip, based on colour. Sorry to those who said red, I haven't made any red as yet - will get onto it! Some were actually a mix of colours, so those who said multi/all colours scored. Here are the final selections:

From left to right:

Milly|Emily|Charlotte|Chloe|Lola|Antonia|Jemima|Zara|Lucy|Elizabeth|Lillie|Laura

I then drew 3 of the names to receive "their" clip, those winners are:

Zara, Antonia and Lillie
. Could their Mums please contact me with an address! kathryn@tikiboo.com.au

Stay tuned, we have another giveaway TOMORROW!

{Giveaway} Sweet little bunny needs a home...

Alright, we haven't had a giveaway for ages, so here's a little Easter themed crafty prize up for grabs...this super cute [make it]Stitch Me - Bunny kit. I bought a few of these kits to make, but I know I'll never get to it so would love this little guy to find a happy home! Well, he's not that little - 35cm x 39cm is the finished size.

You receive all the bits and pieces to make this cute bunny toy/cushion, except the stuffing. It incudes calico fabric, premarked with all the required stitching lines, embroidery thread and buttons for decorating. (If you're not a fan of embroidery, you could always decorate with fabric paint or markers instead).

To enter, just leave a comment below. I'll draw this one on Easter Sunday.

I'm also having a little giveaway over on my facebook page...all you need to do is become a fan and you'll go in to the random draw to win, drawn this afternoon!

Note - I know a couple of people haven't received items from previous giveaways. I moved an entire email folder and can't find it! If this is you, please email me (kathryn@tikiboo.com.au) so I can get your prizes to you asap!

{Giveaway} For those who don't sew!

Hooray! We got to 150 followers! Thank you so much, and a big Hello! to all our new folks. We didn't quite get there by Monday morning, so I'll save the lucky dip prize for another day.

I've had a couple of people email me to say they'd love to enter the giveway, however they don't sew! Well, I'm updating the giveaway, to make part two an option.

If we get another 25 followers, along with the pretty Little Patchwork book and fabric squares from part one, you get either a choice of either fabric OR an item of TikiBoo Kids summer clothing! Either shorts for a boy or skirt for a girl. How does that sound?

So, now you just need to help us get to the next magic number - 175! Please spread the word about our GIVEAWAY!

So, to help push things along, if we get to 150 followers by tomorrow morning (Monday 14th Dec, 9am Brisbane time), I'm going to offer a lucky dip prize to those who have already commented. I shall stuff a 500g Aussie Post satchel with as much fabric and habby as I can, and select a random entry to mail it to!

The winner will still be in the running for the major prize.

{Giveaway} Crafty Love - for YOU!

It's nearly Christmas - but I'm sure you've realised that by now!

So, I've decided to give away a little Christmas gift to thank those who read my blog!

This adorable book, Pretty Little Patchwork, by Valerie Van Arsdale Shrader, PLUS a pile of fabric squares to get you started.

But, (yes, there is always a "but") ONLY if we can get this blog to 150 followers by Monday, December 21st! So, you need to tell your friends, blog about it, twitter it, whatever you like to get people following us!

However, if we manage to get a further 25 followers, I will include an extra TWO yards of fabric from my personal stash. Either as one piece, or two half yards, your choice. I'll also include a selection of pretty buttons, ribbon and lace. You'll just need to tell me your favourite colour and I'll pick something fabulous. This is just a small snippet of the stash!

OR - If you aren't one who loves to sew and wouldn't know what to do with the fabric, I'll send you an item of clothing from the TikiBoo Kids summer range - either a pair of shorts or a skirt!

Then...if we get to 200 followers, I will also include this utterly adorable pincushion from Bauble!

And so on, I will keep adding to the prize pool.

If we get to 150 followers by tomorrow morning (Monday 14th Dec, 9am Brisbane time), I'm going to offer a lucky dip prize to those who have already commented. I shall stuff a 500g Aussie Post satchel with as much fabric and habby as I can, and select a random entry to mail it to!

To be in the draw, please leave a comment on this post.

The winner will be announced on Monday 21st at 10am Brisbane time, so make sure you check back!

My life revolves around the java

Life around the TikiBoo home has become a little busier recently. Hubby started a new job a few weeks ago, it's only slightly further from home, however it involves freeway travel so takes him much longer to get to and from the office. This week I returned to (paid) work for two days a week. The highlight was the girl in the coffee shop remembering my name after 14 months.

In far more exciting news, we have signed up for a stall at Mathilda's Market here in Brisbane on July 19th! We are busily sewing and knitting so we have enough items - I already have a pile of cute skirts, Mum is busily making some dresses, and I spend the afternoon cutting out a ton of shorts - yes, Mama's of boys, we will have something for you! There will also be some special guests attending with us.

Add to that pile of sewing, the summer wholesale stock! We had a photo session last weekend with the talented Rachel Richter. It was a bit of a challenge with a few cranky models not impressed with wearing summer dresses on a chilly day! I'm now facing the daunting task of selecting the images and it hasn't been easy.

There have been a few late nights and much coffee required (my lovely parents have even dropped over with my favourite take away flat white the past couple of days).

To celebrate our new blogger location and our own URL, let's have another GIVEAWAY. This one is all ready to go, so no delay! I'm not going to tell you what it is either...but it's not a kids product, so anyone can enter.

What you need to do:

1. If you're signed to blogger or google, make sure you're following this blog.
2. Leave a comment telling me A. What you do to stay awake when you're tired and B. what your favourite takeaway coffee is - where you buy it and how you like it!

You have a week. I'll announce the winner next Friday.

Get an Eiffel of these

Sorry, that's really corny isn't it?! I couldn't resist.

Since visiting Paris, Miss TikiBoo is completely facinated with the Eiffel Tower. I was looking through my stash the other day and pulled out this fabulous pink fabric - immediately pounced apon by small child. Mummy! It's the Eiffel Tower! I was suiable inspired to whip out the scissors and create something, here's the result. Teamed with the ever-so-groovy zebra stripe, these embelished jeans are certainly going to make a statement!

If you haven't entered the draw to win a chance to have your own child's jeans revamped, head on over to La Toriana. All you need to do is leave a comment on the blog post. Entries close TOMORROW, so be quick!
