Out the back

This is where I'm currently loving to sit and relax. Well, ok, I've managed to sit and relax here precisely once, but it was lovely! I can see us spending a lot of time out here.

These couches were originally our inside couches, the cream in the living room and the blue in the family room, but neither really suited the house (and although still super comfortable, after 5 years of sticky fingers, the cream is now slightly more grey!). So, I'm slowly getting new living room furniture and these have found a new home where they will get a lot of use this summer!

Husband put the cream throw on the couch, but I'll probably move it onto the blue couch instead, and make new cushion covers. I have these two fabrics from Joel Dewberry's Ginseng collection which I'm thinking of using, but I can't decide whether just to use one, or both of them? Thoughts?

If you have stopped by, it would be lovely if you could leave a comment or just say hello so I know that you've been here. Thank you!

  2. I'm lusting after that deck! My IL's gave us their massive timber outdoor set when they downsized, and being that I live in a townhouse, there is nowhere to put it...I dream of the day I have a deck just like this!

    Enjoy :)

P.S I like the first fabric better, but I think the second one will go better with the colour of your house/

  3. There is something special about a Qld'er verandah. Your family will practically live out here Kathryn.
I'm rather partial to red so I'll cast a vote for that sample, although the other is nice too. Oh decisions, decisions!

    Lucky, lucky you.
I'm more a red girl but I can see the yellow one fitting in perfectly

  7. Oh wow, what a great deck! I'd be out there every spare second I had! Love the crop of bamboo too (I think that's what it is) - makes for a great privacy screen and has reminded me that it's a great choice for me to plant in some pots now and get it growing to a good height for when our new deck comes along. I love both fabrics. I'd go for both, the cream and yellow to tone well with the house colours and the red for a pop of colour. alison x

  9. Your deck looks so lovely and relaxing. Hoping you get more time to sit down and appreciate it soon. I like the first fabric....but I have no home decorating style at all.
